Glass wet-laid nonwovens - Craneglas®

Neenah Technical Materials located in Pittsfield, MA manufactures our wet-laid glass nonwovens using continuous chop strand electrical grade “E”- glass in various diameters and lengths necessary to accommodate our customer’s demanding properties.

The Craneglas® product line was first manufactured in the 1970’s, shortly after, NASA discovered the Craneglas’ unique advantages during the encapsulation phase of the photovoltaic panels.  Since this time, the product line has expanded into a variety of different applications spanning the industrial, commercial, and consumer markets; where low thermal conductivity and superior thermal/flammability resistance are required.

Our machines are unique and offer accommodating minimum order quantities and a wide range of basis weights available from 18 gsm to over 670 gsm (0.5 osy to over 20 osy) with specialty binders offered to provide enhanced thermal stability, chemical resistance, absorbency and other key properties.
We can also slit the product inline to a variety of widths and/or sheet our materials as required.

Our mission is to turn our material science knowledge and manufacturing expertise into product solution by partnering with you to make your needs a working reality.
